Former Inter defender Marco Andreolli has singled out Hakan Calhanoglu for praise after Inter beat Napoli 3-2 on Sunday evening, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to Inter TV after the match via L’Interista, Marco Andreolli said that the Turkish midfielder had another good game and that he is growing into his time at the club.

“He had another great performance and another game in which he proved to be growing, then he came back again today on the spot-kick.

“Maybe he didn’t have the best condition at the beginning of the season, he had to play and train continuously, but he is growing a lot and has shown it.”

Hakan Calhanoglu joined Inter on a free transfer from local rivals AC Milan after his contract expired with the Rossoneri.

He has had a mixed bag of performances but has been one of the better players for the team in the last two Serie A matches against his old club AC Milan and Napoli on Sunday.

It will be vital for Inter’s hopes of winning the Scudetto this season to get consistent quality performances out of Hakan Calhanoglu, something that AC Milan could not do during his time at the club.
