Legendary former Napoli and Juventus defender Ciro Ferrara believes that Inter played a very fast-paced style against the Partenopei in their 3-2 win yesterday evening.

Speaking in a post-match analysis of the match, as reported by FCInter1908, he praised the Nerazzurri for their style of play and the manner in which they got the massive result.

Inter knew that they would have to be at their best in order to take three points off of league leaders Napoli, who had been unbeaten in the league going into the weekend and had conceded only four goals in Serie A.

For long stretches of the match, Simone Inzaghi’s team produced the kind of display that they will have hoped for, stretching the pitch and involving nearly everyone in attack as they carved up enough opportunities to be good value for the three goals that they scored against the formidable Napoli defense.

Ferrar stated that “It was a good match, plyaed at a very high tempo. We saw everything: Napoli started better, Inter were on top after equalizing.”

“There were mistakes,” he went on, “but it was an intense match until the end. Marotta said it was important to play well and Inter did so tonight.”
