Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu was Inter’s standout performer in yesterday’s 3-2 Serie A win over Napoli at the Giuseppe Meazza, according to Italian media.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who commend the 27-year-old and give him a solid 7/10 grade in their player ratings for the match.

Calhanoglu seemed to confirm his status as the Nerazzurri’s first-choice penalty taker when he stepped up after VAR gave Inter a chance to equalize following a Kalidou Koulibaly handball, and he calmly dispatched the spot kick.

The former AC Milan midfielder also provided the excellent delivery from which Inter took the lead, with Ivan Perisic turning in his whipped corner towards the end of the first half, capping off one of his most incisive displays in a Nerazzurri shirt.

Meanwhile, Milan Skriniar is also singled out for his defensive efforts in keeping Victor Osimhen quiet in particular, receiving a 7/10 scores as well, while Edin Dzeko could only be given a 5/10 grade especially after giving the ball away for the Partenopei’s second goal.
