Inter striker Joaquin Correa could miss out on Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk after picking up an injury in yesterday evening’s win over Napoli.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Edin Dzeko will play from the start alongside Lautaro Martinez and that it remains to be seen whether Correa will be ready to take a place on the bench.

Correa had to come off in some discomfort during the second half of the win over the Partenopei, immediately after helping to set up Lautaro Martinez’s goal to make it 3-1 with a run across much of the length of the pitch.

Dzeko took his place to help the Nerazzurri see out the game, while Correa’s condition was assessed.

There is not too much pessimism around the Argentine’s condition and he has not picked up a long-term injury, but his participation in Wednesday’s match is in doubt.
