Danish national team Assistant Coach Lars Hogh feels that Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is doing well and reconnecting with his friends and associated after his health scare in the summer.

Writing in his autobiography, as reported by FCInterNews, the assistant of Denmark head coach Kasper Hjulmand gave updates about the condition of the Nerazzurri midfielder.

Eriksen’s future at Inter is unclear, as his return to football in the Italian top flight will be dependent on whether or not he is able to remove the Implantable Cardioverter Defibrulator which he is currently fitted with, per the Italian health and safety regulation which does not allow their use in sport.

However, the 29-year-old remains close with many of his teammates for both club and country, and Hogh’s account of his meetings with the Danish captain makes clear that through his recovery he has began reconnecting socially with many within the world of football.

“Since [Eriksen’s heart attack],” he writes, “Christian and I have met a couple of times, and together with little Alfred one day we drove to Kerteminde, where we played football in the garden and chatted for an hour. Each time I felt a weight lift and each time I wanted to hug him once more.”
