Former Inter defender Daniele Adani believes that the Scudetto race is open to all the teams at the top end of the table.

Speaking to Italian news magazine TV Sorrisi e Canzoni, the former Nerazzurri defender suggested that even eighth-place Juventus can mount a Scudetto challenge despite their poor start.

The Scudetto race tightened up over the weekend, with AC Milan losing to Fiorentina while Inter defeated Napoli to draw within four points of their city rivals and the Partenopei.

Meanwhile, wins by Atalanta, Juventus, and Roma brought those teams closer to the league leaders, and Lazio also remain in the picture despite a loss against the Bianconeri.

Adani believes that all of these sides will have a chance to fight for the Scudetto, though he also singled out the Bianconeri as the team with the best-equipped squad.

“Never before has the Scudetto race been as open as it is this year,” he stated. “There are at least seven teams that are in for it: Inter, Milan, and Napoli who are very strong, Roma, Lazio, Atalanta and of course Juventus.”

“They started badly,” he added about the Bianconeri, “but let’s remember that they have the strongest squad of all.”
