Inter will meet with the agent of wing-back Ivan Perisic about the possibility of extending his contract next month before Christimas.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are still hoping to find an agreement with the 32-year-old on a new deal and have scheduled the round of talks for December.

Perisic’s current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022, and the Nerazzurri have offered to extend his contract beyond this date but only if he is to reduce his wages to €3 million net per season from the €4.6 million net which he currently earns.

The Croat has not accepted the Nerazzurri’s offer amid interest from the likes of Roma as well as clubs in the Premier League and the Bundesliga in bringing him in on a free transfer next summer.

However, the club have not given up home on renewing with the player, and will hold the talks next month which will make clearer whether or not they can convince him on a new deal.
