Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali believes that the constant speculation about Inter-linked strikers Giacomo Raspadori and Gianluca Scamaca is not a good influence on their development.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio24, the Neroverdi executive suggested that the pair would be better-served if there were less talk about their futures and possible moves away from their current club.

Raspadori in particular has been widely reported as a long-term Nerazzurri target, with the club reported to be considering a move for him even as early as the January transfer window.

Scamacca is another player who is of significant interest to Inter as well as other major Italian clubs, having also been among their attacking targets in the summer before they moved onto other players.

Both players are well-regarded as young talents in Italian football and have been linked with Inter as well as other clubs in the media for some time, but Carnevali believes that the best thing for them is to focus on their football with the Neroverdi.

“I can’t say they’re not doing well,” he stated, “we must let them grow: if we always talk about them, we’re not doing any good for their development.”
