The San Siro is set to host around fifty thousand spectators for this evening’s Champions League clash between Inter and Shakhtar Donetsk.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the ticket sales for the match have totalled approximately fifty thousand people present to watch the match.

Inter face a significant challenge for the rest of their season when they come up against the Ukrainian side, as they have the possibility of qualifying for the knockout rounds with a win, should Sheriff Tiraspol lose to Real Madrid.

Supporters are set to be at the stadium in close to full voice, although the capacity is still reduced thanks to the limits on attendances due to the pandemic.

The Nerazzurri will hope that the atmosphere generated by fans in the stadium will be enough to push them on to get the vital three points and take a step into the knockout rounds of Europe’s top competition.
