Inter duo Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez are likely set to make their return as the starting strike pair for the Nerazzurri in this evening’s Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that both of the attackers are likely to be included in Simone Inzaghi’s starting eleven for the match.

Martinez played from the start against Napoli over the weekend, where he scored the Nerazzurri’s vital third goal on the way to a 3-2 win, capping off a solid performance by breaking his goal drought.

Dzeko, meanwhile, was restricted to an appearance from the bench due to fitness issues, but the Bosnian is likely to come in for Joaquin Correa from the start against Shakhtar.

The last goal from Dzeko came in the 1-1 draw against Juventu last month, but he will hope that a reunion with his regular starting partner Martinez up front will be beneficial for both.
