Inter will not be using the money from their Champions League qualification in the January transfer window, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Inter stands to receive around €20 million for qualifying for the latter stages of the Champions League.

The qualification came after beating Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 at San Siro on Wednesday evening thanks to two goals from Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko.

That money will be usually merely to ease the financial situation at the club with the transfer planning still remaining focused on the summer when the club hope that Andre Onana and Luiz Felipe may join in free transfers.

There was also a suggestion from Tuttosport that Antonio Conte may have been wrong in his decision to walk away from the club as Simone Inzaghi has managed to deliver Champions League knockout football despite the financial situation that he is working under.
