Inter winger Ivan Perisic has suggested that he will be talking to the club soon about his contract situation, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking to Mediaset Infinity, via FCInter1908, the Croatian winger admitted that he is focused on the present but that he will be talking to the club with all outcomes still possible.

“I am focused on the present. We talk to the club, I do not know, everything is possible. We will see in the next few weeks but we must be focused until January, this also serves for the future.”

Despite that vital result in the Champions League, Ivan Perisic has quickly turned his attentions to Saturday evening’s match against Venezia, followed by the chance of beating Real Madrid to top spot in the group.

“Now we have to concentrate on the championship, in three days we have a tough game away from home and there is still one game in Madrid.

“We go there to play for the first place and have a good game, playing at the Bernabeu is always a pleasure.”

When asked about his excellent assist for Edin Dzeko and his disallowed goal in the match, the ex-Bayern Munich man brushed it off.

“It doesn’t matter, the important thing is that the team wins.”

Inter have failed to reach the knockout stage of the Champions League for the past 10 years and Ivan Perisic feels that recent failures, particularly that of last season, have helped the team to reach this point.

“We talked before the match, the two years before were useful. Last year the absence of the fans was felt, now everything is easier.”
