Inter duo Ivan Perisic and Edin Dzeko have been singled out for praise by the Italian media after their impressive performances against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
As has been reported by Tuttosport in their Inter player ratings, the Croatian winger and the Bosnian striker were both worthy of a 7.5 out of 10 rating for their efforts.
Edin Dzeko scored both of Inter’s goals and one of those came as he headed in an excellent cross from Ivan Perisic who was a threat down the left hand side of the pitch throughout the match.
Matteo Darmian and Hakan Calhanoglu were also given good scores, receiving 6.5 out of 10 for their efforts. The Turkish midfielder appears to have grasped the mezzala role that Simone Inzaghi wants him to play.
Nicolo Barella was given praise for his excellent work rate during the match but it was pointed out that he looks in need of a rest.
