Inter’s Attacking & Defensive Stats In Europe Suggest Simone Inzaghi Is Making Clear Progress, Italian Media Report

Statistics from the current Champions League campaign show that Simone Inzaghi is making progress with his Inter team, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are ranking incredibly highly in the competition for the amount of shots taken at the opposition goal.

100 shots have been taken by Inter players in the first five games of the Champions League group stages which is more than Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez has had the joint most shots in the competition, level on 23 with Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez and Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema.

As for the defence, only Chelsea have had fewer shots on their goal than Inter. The Blues have only had four shots against them, Inter has had 10, which is level with Rb Salzburg.

Inter are second in terms of least goals conceded having only conceded three times.
