Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has admitted that he feels very bitter about Inter’s Scudetto triumph under Antonio Conte last season, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during the Juventus All Or Nothing Documentary that is airing on Netflix, via FCInternews, Giorgio Chiellini discussed the moment where Juventus lost at home to Benevento and saw any realistic title ambitions disappear for good.

“I hope it will be the only defeat in the history of Juventus at home against Benevento. I was hoping to win my tenth Scudetto with all of myself.”

Giorgio Chiellini has won a staggering nine Serie A titles in a row whilst at Juventus which is why he wanted so desperately to achieve a 10th Scudetto in a row.

That is why he feels bitterness over the fact that he had to watch Inter lift what would have been his 10th consecutive title for the Bianconeri.

“I had half of my career as a champion of Italy, seeing it lifted by others will be strange. There is so much bitterness in the mouth for the Inter Scudetto, I was hoping to reach the tenth.”

Juventus only managed to seal fourth place on the final day of the 2020/21 campaign which led to Andrea Pirlo losing his job after just one season in charge.
