Nicolo Barella, Ivan Perisic, and Matteo Darmian could all be given a rest by Simone Inzaghi for Inter’s match against Venezia on Saturday evening, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Simone Inzaghi could use the match against lesser opposition to rest some key players who have worked extra hard in the matches against Napoli and Shakhtar Donetsk over the past five or six days.

Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco are expected to start the game so that Ivan Perisic and Matteo Darmian can catch their breath.

The same could happen with Nicolo Barella who despite the effort levels never dropping, clearly needs some time to rest. He will be replaced by Arturo Vidal.

Whilst unlikely, there is a chance that Lautaro Martinez will also be rested in place of Joaquin Correa but that is not for certain.
