Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin is set to meet with the entourage of River Plate striker Julian Alvarez when he is in South America in the coming days.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri executive will open up serious talks about the 21-year-old’s signature with his representatives.

Alvarez’s recent form for River has been very eye-catching, with the young Argentine striker finding the back of the net seventeen times in just eighteen league matches for the Argentine giants.

Alvarez has a release clause in his contract worth €20 million, and the Nerazzurri are among the clubs who are seriously considering triggering it given the potential shown by his form so far in Argentina.

Baccin will be in Argentina to scout the young striker’s performances, but he will also conduct a preliminary meeting with his entourage with the aim of establishing a dialogue on a potential move to Inter.
