Inter defender Federico Dimarco is favourite to start in the left wing-back position for Inter against Venezia this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 24-year-old will come in for Ivan Perisic, and that the Nerazzurri will announce his new contract in the coming days.

Simone Inzaghi is set to make significant rotations to the starting eleven that started against Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek for this evening’s clash, with Denzel Dumfries also a possibility to come in on the right although Matteo Darmian is still the favourite.

Dimarco is particularly likely to come into the team, and could be set for a start right as the club will look to officially announce an extension that secures his long-term future in the next few days.

The Gazzetta’s complete predicted eleven for the match is as follows:

INTER (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, Ranocchia, Bastoni; Darmian, Gagliardini, Brozovic, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Lautaro, Dzeko.
