Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu’s recent displays have shown that he can add yet another dimension to a strong Nerazzurri side.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who highlight the Turk’s display against Venezia yesterday evening and suggest that he is an “extra weapon” for them.

Calhanoglu had not always looked at his best during the earlier parts of the season, despite a strong display on his Nerazzurri debut against Genoa.

However, his recent form has been strong, and he showed it once again in Venice, with the Corriere branding him as the best player on the pitch against the newly-promoted side.

The 27-year-old’s opening goal was vital in settling the three points to keep pace at the top of the table, and the newspaper also notes that his running and defensive work were important components to the Nerazzurri’s control of the match centrally.

With the former AC Milan midfielder playing as he has been, the Nerazzurri have yet another player they can turn to in order to turn matches in their favour.
