Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu was the standout performer in the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win over Venezia in Serie A yesterday evening according to Italian media.

The 27-year-old received a solid 7/10 grade in the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the same score as defender Federico Dimarco.

Calhanoglu has been enjoying a good run of form for the Nerazzurri, and the Gazzetta singled him out for not only scoring the vital opening goal but also for an overall display which saw him at the heart of everything proactive that his team tried.

Dimarco’s performance was also commended, as were those of Samir Handanovic and Joaquin Correa in particular.

Joaquin Correa was named as the Nerazzurri’s worst performer on the night with a score of only 5/10, while Edin Dzeko and Matias Vecino were also deemed to be worthy of no higher grades than 5.5/10.
