Midfielders Marcelo Brozovic and Hakan Calhanoglu were the standout performers for the Nerazzurri in their 2-0 win over Venezia in Serie A yesterday evening.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who award the duo scores of 6.5 and 7/10 respectively in their player ratings for the match and single out their displays.
Calhanoglu is commended for both his decisive first-half goal and the overall quality and energy of his display in midfield, while Brozovic is stated to have been just behind the Turk for how he controlled the match centrally.
Meanwhile, starting strike pair Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa came in for criticism from the newspaper, who gave the Bosnian a score of 5.5/10 and the Argentine an even lower 5/10 grade.
Substitute Matias Vecino was also given a mediocre 5.5/10 score by the newspaper, while the rest of the squad all received solid scores for their performances on a satisfactory evening for the Nerazzurri.
