Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin is in Argentina where he will scout River Plate striker Julian Alvarez.

This according to today’s print edition of Argentine newspaper Ole, who report that the Nerazzurri executive is in the country to watch the 21-year-old action against Rosario with a view to potentially signing him.

Alvarez has enjoyed an eye-catching campaign with River, scoring almost a goal a game for the Argentine giants in the league.

The young striker’s form as attracted the attention of Inter as well as that of other top European clubs Juventus, AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Sevilla.

Baccin will be at River’s away match against Rosario tonight where his focus will be on watching Alvarez play and then reporting back to the club.

It remains to be seen how serious the Nerazzurri’s interest is in Alvarez, but Baccin’s presence confirms that he is a concrete target for the club.
