Inter are only two points behind where they were last season under Antonio Conte after fourteen matches played.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who highlight the Nerazzurri’s closeness to the pace set last season and also note that they will have the chance to get three wins in a row for the first time under Simone Inzaghi when they face Spezia.

The Nerazzurri are sitting on 31 points out of a possible 42 after their first fourteen matches of the campaign, two shy of the 33 which they had managed last time around on their way to the Scudetto.

Furthermore, head coach Simone Inzaghi will note that when his team host Spezia at the Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday, they will have the opportunity to win three on the spin for the first time this season, having already picked up three points against Napoli and then Venezia.
