Inter are beginning to focus on extending the contract of Ivan Perisic after the Croat’s strong recent displays for the club.
This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported in a tweet the Nerazzurri are now working to find an agreement with the 32-year-old on a renewal especially after his performance against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Perisic has been enjoying good form this season after having been linked with an exit from Inter during the summer, but his recent displays in particular have earned him praise.
Against Shakhtar in the Champions League, the wing-back was a standout performer as the Nerazzurri got a convincing 2-0 win to secure progression to the knockout rounds.
The club were impressed by what they saw from him during the match, and this has only solidified their intent to renew with the player whose current deal is set to expire at the end of June 2022.
Pedulla also updated on the situation of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who he expects the Nerazzurri to try and convince to renew by getting close to his demands with add-ons in their offer.

, they want to close on an agreement,” he explained. “And on Perisic, the match against Shakhtar prompted a re-think, they are more willing to try and renew. We’ll see what happens.”
