River Plate striker Julian Alvarez has a release clause worth €20 million in his contract, with Inter among the clubs most interested in signing him.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 21-year-old can leave the Argentine club for that amount should he be convinced by a club.

Alvarez has impressed for River this season, scoring at a rate of almost a goal per game, attracting the interest of a number of top clubs in Europe.

The Nerazzurri are among the keenest sides on Alvarez’s signature, with major rivals in Italy and also Spain also considering a move for him.

At any rate, there will not be an auction for the 21-year-old’s signature given the presence of the release clause in his contract, and it will be up to the interested clubs to convince him to win the race for his signature which will likely occur by triggering the clause.
