Inter have benefited from the presence of two top-quality set piece takers in the squad this season, in the form of Hakan Calhanoglu and Federico Dimarco.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who note that one of the two has always been in the starting eleven for the Nerazzurri so far this season.

Inter have scored eight goals this season from set pieces including the so-far clinical record from the penatly spot by Calhanoglu.

Dimarco scored his first ever goal in a Nerazzurri shirt with a well-taken free kick against Sampdoria on the third matchday of the season, while Calhanoglu is also more than capable from a direct free kick.

Corners have also been an important source of goals for the Nerazzurri, with Calhanoglu’s deliveries in particular having given the Nerazzurri’s physical and aerially strong squad the chance to find the back of the net in these situations.

The importance of these two players cannot be overlooked in considering Inter’s prolific attack so far in the campaign.
