Siena Sporting Director Giorgio Perinetti believes that the Scudetto race currently looks very open, but that Inter are the team likeliest to go all the way.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio, Perinetti gave the view that the Nerazzurri have the slight advantage but that their main rivals also look very strong.

Inter have pulled themselves to within one point of city rivals AC Milan and four of league leaders Napoli since the return from the international break.

The Nerazzurri look to be the team in form and look to have the quality to continue their push to defend last season’s Scudetto crown until the end of the campaign.

However, the two sides ahead of them have also already shown that they have the quality to maintain their position, and Perinetti believes that it is still hard to predict which side will manage to be decisive in an intense, competitive title race.

“Napoli have become more concrete this season,” he said, “especially with the influence of Spalletti.”

He added that “I also see Inter as slightly ahead of Milan, who I think are still a bit too young. It will be a good season – spectacular, uncertain, and everyone will fight hard for it.”
