Lazio’s Luiz Felipe, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Matthias Ginter, and Chelsea’s Malang Sarr are among the top names on Inter’s shopping list for defensive reinforcements.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri will refresh their backline with new signings ahead of next season.
Key defender Stefan de Vrij’s situation at the Inter is somewhat insecure, with the Dutchman turning thirty in February and his contract expiring at the end of June 2023.
Meanwhile, the likes of Aleksandar Kolarov, Andrea Ranocchia, and Danilo D’Ambrosio all see their deals run out at the end of June 2022 with no indication that the club will renew with any of the trio.
At least one defender is almost certain to be brought in in advance of next season to make sure that a strong complement of players is maintained across the defensive positions.
Felipe and Ginter are both out of contract next summer with no agreement having been found on an extension, while Sarr could be available given that he is out of favour at his club Chelsea.
These three players are all serious targets for Inter as the club look to ensure that their backline remains strong going forward.
