Inter can expect to call upon Alessandro Bastoni against AS Roma this weekend but Stefan de Vrij is not likely to feature, according to a report in the Italian broadcast news.
As has been reported by Sky Sport in Italy, via FCInternews, the Italian defender looks set to recover from the illness that kept him out of the 2-0 victory over Spezia on Wednesday night.
Stefan de Vrij has been injured since the international break and it appears that despite this being the game that the club was aiming at for his return, it will come too soon for the Dutchman.
Given the importance of the match on Tuesday against Real Madrid, Inter may decide to keep him out entirely and focus on recovering for the Champions League match instead.
Inter will also be without Andrea Ranocchia and Matteo Darmian for the match in Rome. Arturo Vidal is also a doubt after a foot injury against Spezia.
