Inter sporting CEO Beppe Marotta is targeting Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi and Atalanta’s Matteo Pessina in order to make the team more Italian and younger, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com today, the Inter CEO is looking to the future when it comes to planning Inter’s squad for the next campaign.

The likes of Matias Vecino and Arturo Vidal are not likely to be at the club beyond the current campaign so Inter must find other ways to ensure midfield depth.

Two young Italian midfielders, Davide Frattesi and Matteo Pessina have been targeted by Beppe Marotta as the way forward. The pair are having impressive campaigns with their clubs and would likely be interested in the step up to Inter next season.

Matteo Pessina was in Italy’s Euro 2020 squad and scored during the successful tournament, so he is likely to be more expensive out of the two.
