The number of goals scored this season by Lautaro Martinez is in line with his record in previous Inter campaigns, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Argentine striker has now scored in three consecutive Inter matches in Serie A after netting against Napoli and scoring penalties against Venezia and Spezia.

It is the second time he has achieved this feat in the calendar year of 2021. He is now up to eight Serie A goals for the season so far. That is the same amount as he had in the 2019/20 season and just one less than he had at this point in the 2020/21 season, given he had scored a hattrick against Crotone.

This is a relief to Inter as, before the Napoli match, the Argentine had not scored for the club since the beginning of October against Sassuolo.
