Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has been praised for his alertness when called into action against Spezia on Wednesday night, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As was reported by Tuttosport when handing out their ratings to the team after the 2-0 victory at San Siro, the Slovenian goalkeeper did not have much to do and spent the evening watching his team attack.

He was alert when needed though, producing a fine save from a Kelvin Amian header after a corner. His low save was vital as that would have made it 1-1 and given Inter a lot more work to do to get the three points. He was given seven out of 10.

Federico Dimarco was also given seven out of 10, whilst Danilo D’Ambrosio and Milan Skriniar were given 6.5 out of 10.

It was said that the Slovakian defender played “like a veteran” as he was in the centre of the defence in the absence of Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.
