Inter defender Stefan de Vrij could leave the club this summer if the Nerazzurri have to raise money from major player sales once again, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, Inter could be in a similar position to the one they were in last summer where they had to sell expensive players and replace them cheaply.

It is largely dependant on the coronavirus situation and how far the team can go in relation to winning the Serie A title and going even further in the UEFA Champions League, a highly lucrative competition.

If the club has to sell players as they did in the summer with Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi to Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain respectively, Stefan de Vrij is the player that could be sacrificed.

He is not too young but has plenty of suitors around Europe who would pay a high fee for him.
