Amra Dzeko, wife of Inter striker Edin Dzeko, feels that the Bosnian is attached to both his former club Roma and his current team ahead of their clash at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport in an interview published in today’s print edition, she expressed the hope that the Giallorossi fans do not boo Dzeko for deciding to make the switch to the Nerazzurri over the summer.

Dzeko spent six seasons in the Italian capital, joining from Manchester City in the summer of 2015 and establishing himself as a key player throughout his time at the club.

This summer he decided to move to Inter with the club needing attacking reinforcements following the sale of Romelu Lukaku.

However, as his wife explained, this does not mean that Rome does not still feel like home to them even though they have also settled in in Milan and at Inter.

She explained that “I will not be at the stadium tonight because we have completed the move to our permanent home in Milan. But, in any case, I would not have gone anyway. Too much emotion.”

She added that the Nerazzurri and the Giallorossi are “The two teams that I root for. I hope that the Olimpico will not boo him.”
