Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin believes that Roma will have a difficult time in their match against Inter tomorrow given the form that the Nerazzurri are in.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster TMW Radio ahead of the match, the 55-year-old gave the view that the Nerazzurri have found a higher gear and will make life difficult for the Giallorossi.

Inter will travel to the Stadio Olimpico knowing that they face a team and a coach who are more than producing the kind of display needed to get a result from a tough match, especially in Rome.

However, the Nerazzurri will be in a confident mood as they approach the fixture, having won their last four matches in all competitions and not having lost since their defeat away to Lazio in October.

Paganin believes that the Nerazzurri’s form is not a mirage and that they will be able to outplay Roma tomorrow.

“They arrive in differing moods,” he explained. “Inter are in full flight and Roma are in trouble. Getting a result would take a feat from Roma.”

“With all the starters available for Roma it would be interesting,” he added, “but this is where Inter have an enormous advantage.”

Paganin stated that “At the beginning of the season I predicted that Juventus and Atalanta would be ahead of everyone else, but the injuries are having an impact now.”

“At the moment Inter have not struggled too much with injuries, so we must acknowledge that the Nerazzurri’s preparation has been better so far,” he concluded.
