Inter Defender Danilo D’Ambrosio: “Roma Will Be A Difficult Game But We’ll Try To Reach Our Objective”

Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio isn’t expecting this evening’s Serie A clash with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico to be easy, but he believes that he and his teammates can take home the three points.
Speaking InterTV prior to kickoff, the 33-year-old emphasized that he expects the Giallorossi to make life difficult for the Nerazzurri to take control of the match.
Inter come into this evening’s match in very good form, having won their past four matches across all competitions since returning from the international break.
However, they come up against a Roma team who, even with some key players missing through injury or suspension, are never a straightforward opponent for anyone.
Former Inter boss Jose Mourinho will be hoping to give his team a lift by getting a result against his old team, though D’Ambrosio believes that he and his teammates can get the job done in the capital.
“It will certainly be a very difficult match because Roma have top-quality players,” he stated, “but we are aware of our strength and we want to impose our game.”
He went on that “During a difficult moment, teams and individuals always have extra motivation to do well, but for our part we know we want to reach our objective.”
“Each game has its own significance,” he added, “we’re not thinking about the ones past or the ones to come. All our energy is focused on doing well today.”
