Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is set to be in the starting eleven for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Roma this evening despite some concerns about his fitness.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Argentine did not complete a full training session yesterday but that he should be ready to start against the Giallorossi.

Martinez had to end yesterday’s training session prematurely due to fatigue, and so there is some doubt about his fitness, but the Corriere reports that coach Simone Inzaghi is nevertheless reassured and ready to start him.

Should the 24-year-old not be able to play from the start, then his fellow Argentine Joaquin Correa could start in his place.

Whichever of the South American duo starts, it is a certainty that they will play alongside Edin Dzeko in attack, with the Bosnian set to start against his former club having made the switch this summer following six seasons in the capital.
