Inter have sent their best wishes to AC Milan defender Simon Kjaer and expressed the hope that he will be able to recover quickly, with the 32-year-old set for knee surgery which could rule him out of action for several months.
The Nerazzurri responded to the Rossoneri’s announcement on their official Twitter account, showing their respect for the Danish centre-back in spite of the fact that he plays on the opposite side of the derby divide.
Their response reads, “A champion is not only defined by how he plays football. Come back soon, Simon, we are waiting to give you the applause you deserve at San Siro.”
