Inter Assistant Sporting Director Dario Baccin is in South America, where he is on a scouting trip for a number of young players at South American clubs.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that River Plate striker Julian Alvarez, Penarol striker Agusting Alvarez, Athletico Paranaense full-back Abner, and River Plate Montevedeo midfielder Matias Arezo are among his targets.

While Abner is seen as an impressive athletic and technical player, he is not considered to be close to ready to make the step up to a club like Inter.

Meanwhile, the likes of Julian Alvarez and Agustin Alvarez are both players who the Nerazzurri’s interest in is serious, but the club would not be willing to pay a significant sum for either.

According to the report, Julian Alvarez in particular is not a player who Inter would be seriously interested in going in for should he cost his full release clause of €20 million.

In the case of Arezo, the report states that the player is seen as a serious prospect worth considering by the Nerazzurri, but that his valuation is considered to be excessive.
