German referee Felix Brych has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid at the Bernabeau on Tuesday evening.

This is confirmed on the Nerazzurri’s official site, in an announcement which also names the rest of the officiating crew for the key head-to-head clash for top spot in the group.

Brych will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Mark Borsch and Stefan Lupp, while the role of fourth official will be filled by fellow German Daniel Schlager.

Completing the all-German crew of officials, Marco Fritz will oversee the match from the VAR room and make sure that any clear errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected, while Bastien Dankert will be his assistant.

The Nerazzurri will hope that the focus is on the action on pitch rather than on any officiating controversies as they go in search of a win that would see them top their Champions League group.
