Ivan Perisic and Alessandro Bastoni were the best players on the pitch for Inter in their 3-0 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday evening, according to Italian media.

The pair were named as the standout performers for the match in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, who hailed the pair’s importance to a dominant Nerazzurri win.

Perisic was credited for his tireless running, his willingness to bypass his opposite number on the left, and his positional sense to hold down the left flank, an important facet of Simone Inzaghi’s game.

Meanwhile, Bastoni was credited with his skill in possession, a big part of how the Nerazzurri dominated the ball against the Giallorossi.

The 22-year-old was also praised by the newspaper for his aggressive positioning, with the defender rewarded for his forays forward with an excellent assist for Inter’s third goal, something that is a feature of how he plays under Simone Inzaghi.

Elsewhere on the pitch, Libero names Inter’s three goalscorers Hakan Calhnanoglu, Edin Dzeko, and Denzel Dumfries as other key players for the win.
