Inter are considering extending head coach Simone Inzaghi’s contract until 2025 and will hold the first meetings before the end of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the former Lazio boss’s work has already impressed the club enough to consider a longer-term future with him at the helm.

Inzaghi joined the Nerazzurri on a two-year deal during the summer, with his current contract set to run out at the end of June 2023.

However, the 45-year-old has already convinced the club that he is the right man to be the successor to Antonio Conte on the bench for seasons to come.

Meetings on an extension will likely take place in the spring, with the club aiming to hold meetings on the renewal in March.

Inzaghi currently earns a net of €4 million per season in his position, but the club are ready to hand him a new deal worth as much as €6 million net per season.
