Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti believes that his opposite number in tomorrow’s Champions League clash Simone Inzaghi has done very well at Inter so far.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash at the Bernabeu, the Italian tactician gave the view that both his and Inzaghi’s teams have grown since their last meeting in September.

The Nerazzurri lost to a last-minute goal from the Merengues when they hosted the Spanish league leaders at the San Siro in the very first match of this season’s Champions League group stage.

They prepare to face the same opposition tomorrow evening in a match which will decide who qualifies for the knockout rounds top of the group, with both teams having already secured their place.

Ancelotti was full of praise for the job that Inzaghi has done, and feels that it will be an important match between two top-quality teams.

“Compared to the first match we and Inter have both grown,” he said, “there is more conviction, more quality and consistency.”

“It will be a great match,” he went on, “there is no pressure on the result. The minimum goal has been reached. Having an easier round-of-sixteen match can help you, but if you want to win the Champions League you have to beat the strongest teams anyway.”
