Venezia defender Cristian Molinaro feels that Inter are among the teams who have solidified themselves at the top end of Serie A in recent seasons.

Speaking in a press conference after the Venetians’ 4-3 loss against Hellas Verona yesterday, the 38-year-old named the Nerazzurri as a side who have built a strong squad and made themselves one of the most formidable sides in the Italian top flight.

Venezia hosted Inter last weekend in Serie A, and the Nerazzurri managed to get a convincing 2-0 win, controlling possession and denying the hosts any meaningful opportunities while they were good value for the goals they scored.

Molinaro reflected on this defeat and suggested that it comes against a backdrop of the Nerazzurri being an exceptionally difficult team to beat for many of the other teams in Serie A.

He explained that for him, Inter’s current squad and the way that they are put together as a team has been in the making for a long time.

Molinaro explained that “We just had the opportunity to face three very strong teams. Inter have been a consolidated club in those positions for the longest time,” about coming up against the Nerazzurri.
