Former Lazio, Sampdoria, and Bologna coach Delio Rossi feels that Inter’s recent form are proving that Simone Inzaghi is the right man for the Nerazzurri.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster TuttoMercatoWeb, the 61-year-old gave the view that Inzaghi’s ideas have been vindicated by the positive result the club has achieved under him even despite significant losses in the summer.
Inzgahi left Lazio after more than five seasons in charge during the summer, having established a strong reputation for himself in Italian football based on his work at the Biancocelesti.
However, the question of whether or not he would be able to fit in at Inter was by no means a foregone conclusion, as the Nerazzurri were defending champions and he had the task of replacing Antonio Conte.
So far, however, Inzaghi’s work has seen the Nerazzurri grow into the season, easily keeping themselves in Scudetto contention and qualifying for the Champions League knockouts without the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi.
“This speaks volumes about Simone’s abilities,” Rossi stated. “He joined them after theu won the Scudetto and they are making do without two important players fromlast year in the form of Lukaku and Hakimi. The results are proving him right.”
