Former Juventus and Italy striker Alessandro Del Piero has said that he hopes Inter do not get drawn against Liverpool in the Champions League as they will be unplayable, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport, via FCInter1908, Alessandro Del Piero jokingly said when asked who he wants Inter to play that he hopes it is Liverpool as they are the strongest.

He then went on to explain that he does not hope Inter get that draw as it can only go one way for the Nerazzurri against such a strong opponent.

“I would take Liverpool who are the strongest. I hope not for Inter because Liverpool will also be unplayable in February. They are very strong, they have no weaknesses.”

Liverpool won every single match in their Champions League group that featured AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and FC Porto. They are also well in the hunt to win the Premier League title for the second time in three years.

Along with Bayern Munich and Manchester City, they are one of the teams that Inter wants to avoid.
