Inter are optimistic about finding a contract agreement with Marcelo Brozovic and his entourage during their next meeting over Christmas, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, serious work is being done to close the gap between the club and the player when it comes to his salary.

If an agreement is to be found before his contract runs out in June 2022, it is likely to feature a salary of around €5.5 million per season.

The player is certainly keen to remain at the club as he is settled in Milan and has business interests in the city.

He is not the only player that Inter executives are working hard to keep. Federico Dimarco is also expected to have a new contract running until 2026 announced before Christmas as he has impressed the club so far this season.

Renewals are Inter’s primary focus right now.
