Inter have taken another step forward in their efforts to sign Federico Dimarco to a new contract at the club, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, a meeting took place today between Inter sporting CEO Beppe Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio, and Federico Dimarco’s agent Giuseppe Riso.
This meeting continued the negotiations and a new meeting has been arranged for next week in which it is expected that the final details of the deal will be ironed out, leading to an official announcement of the deal soon after.
The new deal will see the 23-year-old left back remain at the club until at least 2026 and he will now be among the average earners at the club. He is currently earning €600,000 a year at Inter.
Federico Dimarco’s importance has grown after some excellent performances when needed called upon this season.
