Inter will be hoping that they are drawn against French side Lille in the next round of the Champions League, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter now knows for sure the full list of opponents that they can face in the Round of 16.

As they finished second in their group behind Real Madrid, they will face a group winner who is not from Italy or from within their group.

This means the list of teams available is Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Ajax, and Lille.

Ajax and to a greater extent Lille are clearly the two teams that Inter fans will want to be drawn against the most, with Manchester United coming next on the list.

If Inter is drawn against the German champions, English champions, or Liverpool, then it is very hard to imagine them progressing.
