Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has expressed his happiness that Argentine duo Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa are at the club, according to a report on social media.

Speaking whilst live on Instagram with Gente Argentina, via FCInternews, Javier Zanetti explained that Lautaro Martinez is now more mature with experience which allows him to show his quality.

“Lautaro is mature again, with a lot of experience, showing all the quality he has and this makes him very happy. I’m happy for Lautaro and Correa to be at Inter.”

Javier Zanetti was a key part of the Inter team for many years and whilst reflecting on his career, he said he misses spending time in training with his teammates as part of everyday life.

“What I miss most is training, everyday life, being with my teammates, meeting teammates before training, where we chatted and during the week we barbecued for the whole team after training.”

Javier Zanetti is currently the vice president of Inter and when describing his role he said that he has to operate with an eye on everything that is going on at the club.

“I work with a 360-degree vision, where the club needs me I am there. I am a resource in marketing, social projects, a club ambassador when I travel to Japan, the United States or wherever we need to go. I impart continuity by conveying values of Inter.”

Given his legendary status within the game Javier Zanetti has often been touted as a potential coach of the Argentinian national team but he has made it clear he does not want to go down that path.

“No, I don’t like being a coach. When I stopped carrying out my career I focused on the role of leader and manager, I also prepared for that, I started studying at Bocconi University in Milan.

“I studied Sports Management to have not only a vision in the sports part but a 360-degree vision in which I can contribute to my club in other areas as well. I studied Marketing, International Relations, Management.”
